## Overview

The MBA in Hospital Management is a two-year, four-semester management degree for graduates who want to run healthcare organisations rather than treat patients. It is an administration qualification, not a clinical one, and NEET is not required at any stage.

The first year is a genuine management foundation — finance, human resources, marketing, operations and strategy — taught so that a hospital administrator can read a budget, hire and manage staff, and understand where an organisation's money goes. Without this grounding, healthcare-specific training produces coordinators rather than managers.

The second year applies that foundation to the hospital itself. Students study patient flow and departmental operations, medical records and health information management, quality and accreditation systems including NABH standards, procurement and inventory of medical supplies, biomedical waste handling, and the regulatory framework a hospital operates inside. Hospital planning is covered as a discipline in its own right: how departments are laid out, how capacity is calculated, and why poor layout costs money and time every day it exists.

The curriculum is internship-heavy by design. Students spend substantial time inside working healthcare facilities, because a hospital's real constraints — a full ward, a delayed discharge, a supply shortage — cannot be understood from a case study. Graduates typically enter hospital administration, operations, quality or medical records roles, in hospitals, diagnostic chains, insurance and health-tech organisations.
