Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how School of Hospitality & Management (“we”, “us”, “the College”) collects, uses and protects the information you share with us through this website and through our advertisements — for example when you submit an admission enquiry or application form. By submitting your details, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
When you fill in an enquiry or admission form we may collect your name, phone number, email address, city, the course you’re interested in and any message you send us. Our servers may also automatically record basic technical data such as your IP address and browser type to keep the website secure.
If you submit your details through a form shown within one of our advertisements (for example a Google lead form), the advertising platform passes those details to us, and we use them only to contact you about admissions as described below.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your admission enquiry and share program, fee and admission details.
- To have our admissions team contact you by phone, WhatsApp, SMS or email about your enquiry.
- To send you relevant updates about courses, admissions and events at the College.
- To improve our website and services.
We do not sell your data
We never sell, rent or trade your personal information to any third party. Your details are used solely by School of Hospitality & Management and our authorised admissions staff to assist you. We do not share your information with outside parties for their own marketing.
Data security & retention
We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorised access and keep it only for as long as needed to assist you with admissions and to meet our record-keeping obligations. You may ask us to update or delete your details at any time using the contact information below.
Your choices
You can opt out of further communication from us at any time by telling us over phone, WhatsApp or email, or by writing to us at info@shmedu.in. We’ll honour your request promptly.
Course fees
We publish our course fees openly so you know exactly what a program costs before you apply. The fees below are the current tuition fees for our programs:
| Program | Duration | Tuition Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Bachelor Degree | 3 Years | ₹2,00,000 Total · Earn While Learn eligible |
| Diploma | 18 Months | ₹80,000 Total · Industry-integrated |
| PG Programs | Post Graduate | ₹1,20,000 Total · Advanced specialisation |
| Skilled Courses | Short Term | ₹25,000 Total · Job-ready skills |
Please note the following about our fees:
- Fees shown are tuition fees. Examination, registration, uniform, hostel and other charges (where applicable) are billed separately and will be shared with you in writing before you enrol.
- Fees are quoted per academic year unless stated otherwise, and are subject to periodic revision. The fee applicable to you is the one confirmed in your official admission letter.
- Any scholarship or fee concession is applied to the tuition fee only, and is confirmed in writing at the time of admission.
We are an educational institution, not a financial services provider. School of Hospitality & Management does not offer, arrange, broker or advertise loans, EMI, credit, insurance, investments or any other financial product, and we are not a lender or a financial intermediary. The only money we deal in is the tuition and related fees a student pays us for a course. Any scholarship or fee concession we grant is a reduction of our own fee — it is not credit, and nothing is lent to you or repayable by you.
Pay only into our official account.
All fee payments must be made to the College’s official bank account shown below, or in person at the campus against an official receipt. We never ask for payment into a personal account, and we are not responsible for money paid to any individual or agent who is not authorised by the College. If in doubt, call the admissions number below before paying.
Corporate Scholarship — terms
Up to 60% Corporate Scholarship on your tuition fee — Up to 60% of tuition fees. The Corporate Scholarship is a fee concession of up to 60% on the tuition-fee component of your programme, offered for the 2026–27 admission cycle. It is calculated on our own published tuition fees — never against an inflated or notional “original” fee. Every application is assessed individually and is subject to approval by the College: “Up to 60%” is a maximum, not a flat discount, and the concession awarded may be lower, or nil. It is not applied automatically, and applying does not guarantee an award — any concession is confirmed in writing in your admission offer letter.
Eligibility
- Open to applicants for admission to any SHM programme — Degree, Post Graduate, Diploma or Skilled Courses — for the 2026–27 admission cycle.
- You must have applied for admission and met the entry requirements of the programme you are applying to. The concession is not a route to admission by itself.
- Eligibility criteria and the basis of assessment are determined by the College. An admissions counsellor will explain them to you, and they are confirmed to you in writing.
- The College may ask for supporting documents, and may verify any information or document submitted in support of an application.
- Awards are subject to assessment and approval by the College. Applying does not guarantee an award.
- You can ask an admissions counsellor to talk you through the criteria before you apply — there is no cost and no obligation.
Terms & conditions
- “Up to 60%” is a maximum, not a flat discount. Each application is assessed individually, and the concession granted may be substantially lower than 60%, or nil.
- The concession applies to the tuition-fee component only. It is calculated on the College’s own published tuition fees — Bachelor Degree ₹80,000 per year · Diploma ₹32,000 per year · Post Graduate ₹45,000 per year · Skilled Courses ₹18,000 (certificate, total). We do not calculate a concession against an inflated or notional “original” fee.
- Illustration only: at the maximum award of 60%, the published Bachelor Degree tuition of ₹80,000 per year would reduce to ₹32,000 per year. Lower awards reduce the tuition payable proportionately. Your own figure is confirmed only in your admission offer letter.
- The concession does not cover admission and registration charges, examination fees, uniform, hostel, transport, caution deposit, or any university or affiliation charges, where these apply. These are billed separately and are payable in full. Taxes and statutory levies, where applicable, are payable in addition.
- The total tuition for the full duration of your programme, together with a complete list of all other charges, is given to you in writing before you pay anything.
- The concession is not automatic. Submitting an enquiry form starts an admissions enquiry — it is not an application for admission, it does not reserve a seat, and it does not confer a concession. The concession exists only once it is stated in writing in your admission offer letter.
- This is an institutional fee concession offered and administered by the School of Hospitality & Management, Durgapur. It is not a government scholarship scheme.
- The College provides assured placement, industrial training and a training stipend to its students. Those commitments are separate from this fee concession, which relates to tuition only; the placement, training and stipend that apply to you are confirmed in writing in your admission offer letter.
- The concession applies to the fee term stated in your admission offer letter. Continuation in any further term is not automatic; where it applies, the basis for continuation is stated in that letter.
- Unless your admission offer letter states otherwise, this concession cannot be combined with any other fee concession, institutional waiver, or external or government scholarship scheme.
- The concession is adjusted against your tuition fee only. It is not redeemable for cash and is not transferable to another student or programme.
- The concession may be reduced or withdrawn if information given in your application is found to be incorrect. Any further conditions are set out in your admission offer letter, and will not be applied without prior written notice to you and an opportunity to respond.
- The College’s decision is communicated to you in writing. If you believe your application has been assessed incorrectly, you may write to the admissions office and ask for a review. Nothing in these terms affects your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Where UGC or AICTE fee-refund norms apply to your programme, those norms take precedence over any institutional rule.
- No agent, consultant or third party is authorised by the College to promise, sell or negotiate this concession, or to collect fees on our behalf. If anyone tells you a scholarship is pre-approved, guaranteed, reserved for you or available to purchase, they are not speaking for us. Pay only into the College’s official bank account, or at the campus against an official receipt — never into a personal account.
- Fees are subject to periodic revision. The fee, and the concession, that apply to you are the ones confirmed in your admission offer letter.
- Offered for the 2026–27 admission cycle. The College may amend or withdraw this scheme at any time; any such change will not affect a concession already confirmed in writing in an admission offer letter that has been issued.
“Up to 60%” is a maximum concession on the tuition-fee component only, assessed and approved case by case. Applying does not guarantee an award, and any concession is confirmed only in your admission offer letter. The College provides assured placement, industrial training and a training stipend; the terms that apply to you are confirmed in your admission offer letter.
